Pate's Grammar School CCF trains every Friday from 1600 to 1815

We conduct training in many military disciplines including Leadership, Drill and shooting.  Pate's shooting team are regular participants in the school's shooting competitions at Bisley and consistently produce excellent results. Pate's CCF is comprised of an Army Section and RAF section, however, the contingent is truly combined and our activities are open to all members with an emphasis on specialised training within the individual sections.

In addition to regular weekly training, the contingent takes part in competitions and exercises.  We normally conduct 2-3 field training exercise per year.

The contingent also attends annual camps with the Army and RAF section under the guidance and training of the regular RAF and regular Army.

The contingent also sends cadets to the various leadership courses sponsored and run by the regular services.  These courses prepare the cadets for senior positions within the contingent and instruct them in vital life skills for their future
